In the first match of the 2023 AFC U-17 Asian Cup, China and Tajikistan played to a 1:1 draw. Wang Yudong scored the opening goal just 5 minutes into the game. However, Masrur Gafurov equalized in the 36th minute due to a blunder from Xie Gongbo, China's goalie.
