In the second round of Group A matches in the AFC U-20 Asian Cup group stage, China defeated Kyrgyzstan 5-2, securing qualification with one game to spare. Liu Chengyu, Wang Yudong, Mao Weijie scored the first three goals. Zhu Pengyu, the substitute who came on from the bench, made a brace to extend the lead.
